Optus Stadium is set for a huge summer of cricket with Cricket Australia yesterday announcing that cricket powerhouse India will return to Perth  on Sunday 19 October for a One Day International (ODI) against Australia, a month before the hotly anticipated NRMA Insurance Men’s Ashes series is launched with the West Test.

Having reclaimed the Border-Gavaskar Trophy last season, Australia has an opportunity to start the three-match ODI series by overcoming the dynamic Indian outfit that eliminated them from the Champions Trophy earlier this month.
