The Stadium precinct includes a purpose-built train and bus station to accommodate large crowds attending events at Optus Stadium.

Getting here on an event day

Catch the train to Perth Stadium Station  

Perth Stadium Station has six platforms with two concourses. Yanchep and Fremantle line passengers will use the Western Concourse, and Armadale, Thornlie-Cockburn and Perth-bound trains will depart from the Eastern Concourse.

Catch the bus to Perth Stadium Bus Station

Bus services have been designed to supplement train services with 10, limited-stop routes operating along key corridors. Event buses will be scheduled to start arriving at the Stadium up to two hours prior to the start of the event. When the Suburban Bus network is in operation, all buses will arrive and depart from Bus Hub now including Route 652 (Mirrabooka Bus Route) and Route 653 (Galleria Bus Route).

Major Event Day - Weekday Services

Please note for events held on a weekday, services will differ and there will be no Suburban Event Buses or direct Yanchep/Fremantle line trains before the event.

All patrons to catch a timetabled rail service to Perth Station and transfer to the Armadale or Thornlie-Cockburn line to arrive at Perth Stadium Station.

Mandurah Line passengers travelling to the Stadium can transfer at Cockburn Central stopping all stops to Perth Stadium Station.

The Suburban Event Bus Network does not operate before weekday matches. Instead you will need to catch a regular timetabled bus to the city, where you can transfer to a train to Perth Stadium Station. The Suburban Event Bus Network will however run for 45 Minutes after the final siren.

Armadale Line Part Closure

With the Thornlie-Cockburn Line open, there has been a partial reopening of the Armadale line including trains now travelling between Perth and Cannington. More information can be found here: Armadale Line Shutdown. 

Stations between Kenwick and Armadale remain closed, with replacement buses operating between Armadale and Cannington stations. 


Train Services – Cannington to Perth 

Train services between Cannington and Perth stations will operate at an increased frequency of approximately 7.5 minutes during the day and 15 minutes in the evenings. View the Armadale Line Timetable here. 

 

Red CAT Services

  • Important: The Red CAT is temporarily operating a shorter route, terminating at Hale Street due to a road closure.
  • During Optus Stadium events, services will extend to Matagarup Bridge for approximately two hours before the event, continuing until one hour after the event, including during the event.
  • If you are travelling before, or after this time, you will need to catch an alternate service to Optus Stadium.
  • Operates every day of the year, excluding Good Friday, Anzac Day and Christmas Day.
  • An alternative bus option is the Yellow CAT, alighting at Nile Street.
