2025 AFL Season Public Transport
Ahead of the AFL season, fans should note some minor changes to public transport options in getting to, and from, Optus Stadium.
Tickets to Optus Stadium events continue to include the cost of travel on all Transperth services for three hours before, during and after the event, or until end of service,
whichever occurs first.
A reminder to check Transperth regularly for the most up-to-date information.
Key Changes:
- The Armadale/Thornlie Line continues to be closed until mid 2025.
- With the opening of the Ellenbrook Line, direct trains from Fremantle to Perth Stadium Station will not be operating before AFL games.
- Route 652 (Mirrabooka Bus Station) and Route 653 (Galleria Bus Station) will now arrive and depart from Bus Hub. Patrons will no longer need to walk across Matagarup Bridge.
- With changes to the wider transport network, there is several Bus Hub stand changes. Signage updates and PTA staff will be in place to assist with these changes.
- All patrons are encouraged to plan ahead using the Journey Planner - Transperth Events and allow plenty of extra time to arrive before bounce.
Getting to the Stadium
- Direct trains to Perth Stadium Station will operate on the Yanchep Line.
- Fremantle passengers can catch a timetabled service to Perth Station and transfer to the Armadale Line to arrive at Perth Stadium Station.
- The Suburban Bus network will operate two hours pre event with all buses arriving to Bus Hub including Route 652 (Mirrabooka Bus Route) and Route 653 (Galleria Bus Route), except for week day events, where the suburban bus network will not run pre-event.
Getting Home
- Direct trains on the Fremantle and Yanchep lines will operate after the event.
- The Suburban Bus network will operate post event for 45 minutes.
- All buses will depart from the Bus Hub outside Optus Stadium. Routes 652 and 653 will now depart from Bus Hub.
