For the second year in a row, Optus Stadium will host the season opener for the KFC Big Bash League, one of five blockbuster Perth Scorchers matches.

The BBL will be part of a stacked summer of cricket that includes the Australia v India ODI series on 19 October and the Australia v England Ashes series from 21-25 November

The Scorchers will kick-start the season against the Sydney Sixers on Sunday 14 December (4.15pm), before hosting reigning champions Hobart Hurricanes in another Boxing Day showdown (6.15pm). They will then take on the Adelaide Strikers on Sunday 4 January (6.15pm) before facing Melbourne Renegades on Wednesday 7 January (4.15pm).

The Melbourne Stars will be the Scorcher’s final regular season opponent on Saturday 17 January (5:15pm).
