The WA Government has today confirmed Western Australia will welcome the North Melbourne Football Club for two home game matches per season, in a three-year deal.

The 2025 season matches will be played here at Optus Stadium and Bunbury’s Hands Oval on back-to-back weekends in June 2025, with the Fremantle Dockers playing an away game against North at Optus Stadium on Saturday 14 June. The Eagles and Dockers will alternate venues each year.

North Melbourne general manager of football Todd Viney said “We have always said that we want to be a team that can win games anywhere, any time and we have shown in the recent past that playing in Perth is a trip we embrace with two wins from our last three visits to Optus Stadium.“We have a really passionate fan base in Western Australia and we have seen and heard those fans loudly and clearly in recent close matches at Optus Stadium.“Our players will look forward to having them as home fans from next year onwards.”

The full 2025 AFL Premiership Season fixtures are set to be released later this week.
